THE PROPERTY

Acacia house is super clean and has plenty of space.

Sleeping up to 6 guests, with one King room, one Twin room, and kingsize sofa bed in the dining room.

The dining room can be closed off to the lounge, making it completely private for those using the sofa bed.

A travel cot and highchair is available for babies/toddlers.

The main bathroom is upstairs, with a large, powerful shower. Downstairs there is a toilet and basin, located in the utility area.

The house is full equipped with everything you'll need - washing machine, dishwasher, iron & board, all kitchen essentials, etc. Though if there's anything else you need, just ask! The owners are on-hand next-door to respond immediately to requests.

For cosy evenings, the lounge has a panoramic log burner, and TV connected to Netflix. A wood store in the rear yard has bags of wood for sale, so you don't need to source them yourself.

A utility room provides lots of space for storing bikes, prams, hiking gear etc.

The garden is perfect if you want to bring kids and/or dogs. It is fully enclosed for peace of mind. Sit and relax in the eating area, perhaps throw something on the barbeque, or admire all the local birds that sit in the trees overlooking the garden, as well as the cheeky ducks that wonder around the village.

To the rear of the property, the utility area leads out to a small fully-enclosed yard. Help yourself to the range of herbs growing in the pots.

If you prefer the comfort of indoors, you can sit in the conservatory which overlooks the garden, and the village green - perfect for watching the world go by and spotting local birds in the garden.

RETURN GUESTS: Please note that we are currently making changes to the garden. It will still be fully enclosed, but made smaller. Simply give us a call if you need a more accurate description.

THE AREA

Wolsingham is the 'gateway' to the Dale. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, there's plenty to do here. Walks, hikes, bike rides, mooching, shopping and pub crawls! The property is in the centre of Wolsingham village, so everything's on the doorstep.

The property is just across the road from the river - perfect if you fancy feeding the ducks. In fact, they often come into the garden so you can feed them at the doorstep! The house is also just across the road from Demesne picnic area - one of the more popular walks in the village - dog friendly, stepping stones across the river, tarzan swing, and open fields for doggy zoomies.

Wolsingham village has various amenities - convenience store, butchers, bakery, gift shops, library, chinese take-away, 4 pubs, play park, skatepark, and coffee shop. It is a very welcoming area with a super friendly community.

Local transport includes a train that runs in summer months, and the 'polar express' at Christmas. Local taxis are available, and bus routes run to Durham, Consett, Crook, Bishop Auckland, and further up the dale (Stanhope, St John's Chapel etc).

You will find a selection of take-away menus in the house, as well as maps for local walks, and a huge selection of local and County-wide attractions to consider.

A welcome pack also contains lots of extra information relating to the house.

PETS WELCOME !

With plenty of space, an enclosed garden, and enclosed rear yard it is ideal for bringing along the pets.

Designed with easy cleaning in mind, the property is perfectly suitable for those with or without furry friends.

Dog bowls, 3 XL beds, and dog towels are provided, so you don't need to worry about packing all those bulky extras.

A garden hose is connected in the garden for cleaning after muddy walks.

The lowest point in the garden is a 5ft wall. If your dog can jump over this, we recommend tying a lead to the gazebo. Otherwise, sit back, relax and let the dogs meander around the garden. Dog owners should be aware that ducks often fly into the garden in the warmer months.

For those without dogs, the house is specifically designed to be fuss-free and SUPER CLEAN.
